Proposition: Ratio of Two Ratios

Let \(a,b,c,d\) be real numbers with \(b\neq 0,c\neq 0,d\neq 0\). Then the ratio of the ratios $\frac ab$ and $\frac cd$ equals the ratio $\frac {ad}{bc}$, formally $$\frac{\frac ab}{\frac cd}=\frac {a\cdot d}{b\cdot c}.$$
