Definition: Mutually Disjoint Sets
An family of sets \(X_{i},i\in I,\) is called mutually disjoint (or pairwise disjoint), if for all \(i,j\in I\), \(i\neq j\), \(X_{i}\cap X_{j}=\emptyset .\)
