Proposition: Sum of Convergent Real Series

Let $\sum_{k=0}^\infty a_k$ and $\sum_{k=0}^\infty b_k$ be convergent real series. Then the real series $\sum_{k=0}^\infty (a_k+b_k)$ is also convergent.
